Important Update on our Sunday 29 Worship Gathering

This weekend our city was hit by some extreme weather leading to widespread flooding across the Auckland region. With more heavy rain on the way this afternoon and evening, we've made the decision to cancel our in person gathering tonight Sunday 29 January.

This week we had a special service planned to pray for and commission those in our community who serve in children's, youth and young adult ministries, and those who work in the education sector (eg: teacher's, teacher aids etc.) We'll now be shifting this commissioning service to next week Sunday 5th February.

Instead we're offering some alternative ways to be the church where you are and some resources to enter into worship from your home.

Church Where You Are

The current emergency situation has been pretty scary for many people. Part of being the church is being a good neighbour. Take some time to check in on your neighbours, friends and family. Are there any needs that you can meet? Whether its a warm cup of tea and a chat, helping with cleaning up flood damage or picking up groceries, there are lots of ways, big and small, that we can be the church to our neighbourhood.

Please remember to stay safe even as you reach out to others.

We've also put together a Lectio Divina exercise for individual or group use which you can download.

I'll also be on Facebook LIVE at 5:30 pm for a brief connect and prayer.

Take care and stay safe out there, and we look forward to seeing you in person next week at the Depot.
