The cession|community trust is a charitable trust working in the Howick-Pakuranga-Botany area to enhance the community. It has the following specific goals:
1. Working in the community to assist those affected by conditions of poverty, social inequity and injustice;
2. Offering community education programmes that contribute to the spiritual, social, emotional and mental development of people and communities;
3. Working for the improvement of society, specifically the communities in which cession|community has influence, including Howick, Pakuranga and Botany;
4. Supporting the operations of a Christian church, cession|community, and the wider Wesleyan Methodist Church of New Zealand.

The trust is involved in running a number of programmes and projects:
· Marriage Courses – an intimate environment for couples to invest in their marriage
· Hanen Centre Parenting Courses – parenting children with special needs
· Mainly Music – a music programme for pre schoolers and their parents
· Community Youth programmes including supporting Young Life East Auckland, Inside|Out and 1914media Trust
· Art and media events through Stations of the Cross, 1914media trust and Filmguide
